I want to change the date format to the freshness.
(actually set it to default on board, but allow users to select traditional built in date formats in their personal forum settings)
This relative date format (the so-called "freshness") used in the bbpress forum engine. (Click on link to see what I mean.)

For example:

moment ago,
5 minutes
2 hours
3 days
1 week
3 weeks
7 months
2 years

thnx AJZ, but that "mod" require installation of another their complex plugin to work...
i'll think about it, but i hope there is more simple solution.
