i have downloaded my sql lately then i transfer to another host so i have to restore my database. so i install new mybb forum with its new database. how can i then restore my old database?
i tried importing my sql of my old forum but it prompt an error. how can i properly do it?
okay so since you installed a new forums, you will need to use phpmyadmin database to do the back-up:
- Log in to your phpmyadmin:
- Click on Mybb tab in the left sidebar.
- Select all tables in mybb and then drop all of the tables by click on the "x" button.
- After that, once everything is dropped in mybb, then you import by clicking on the import tab.
It will import the everything and then you are good to go
