Hi. I've been trying to get my URL correct for my forum but I'm a bit unsure how to go about this.

Take this example.

Say my domain is www.cookies.com

I am using FileZilla to manage and upload myBB files and such.

When I did everything previously step by step it all went fine except one thing. You could enter the address www.cookies.com and end up at my forum. I don't want this. I want the base of my forum to be at www.cookies.com/forum

How can I do this?

I want www.cookies.com to be just as is. Blank. Dead. Nothing. I want people to go to www.cookies.com and get nothing for now. Right now I want their only way to my forum to be www.cookies.com/forum

What do I do?
Install your forum in a sub-folder inside the root.

Your root must be something like htdocs, try creating a folder inside your root, something like htdocs/forum. Then install your forum inside that directory just like you did before.
you can also cut the earlier installation AND paste it at another folder
Please Note : see this before doing the cut and paste
