We're using the subSilver theme ( we have upgraded from 1.4 -> 1.6 recently ).
You think this can be due to themes? Because things were working fine.. and we suddenly encountered this bug a few days back.
I'm not sure, just making sure we cover all grounds.
Did you make any core edits recently?
No we haven't. This is what puzzles us. The only change we made was adding a new forum and changing the forum descriptions for some forums.

But did you also check the setting in /inc/settings.php ? Search for 'hideprivateforums' . That needs to be equal to 1.

Yes! I did AdminCP->Tools & Maintenance ->File Verification
And you're right, it says inc/functions_forumlist.php Changed.

Then there must be some changes to that file. If you experience some more problems, it's probably best to upload all MyBB files again.
