That shouldn't be the issue. I already did that.
Rather than getting the error, it literally does nothing.
I just tried it as a guest and it marked all forums read.
Try this:
If you have posts in "View New Posts" and you read them all, mark all forums as read. Do you still see those posts in the "View New Posts"? If not, but the forum indicators still show that there are new posts, try to clear your browser cache.
Can you provide a test account?

As reference, here's the thread regarding all this.

They blame GoMobile (might be the case). However, it may also be an "optimization" that I have recently done, though I reverted most of my JS files and stuff.
It's what I thought, if you click "Mark All As Read" the messages get cleared but the forum icons don't update. Or they are all actually showing that there are new posts. Did you make any changes to /inc/functions_forumlist.php?
Initially:
After checking this out on multiple computers (in multiple locations, such as home and University), I highly doubted it was the cache causing the problem. Also, unread posts were being marked as read in "view today's/new posts", and read posts were being marked as unread in the forums themselves.

I then tried this and it worked for me as a guest as well. After logging in again, it then marked all forums without posts from this month as old, and everything with posts from this month as new.
Also, all posts (no matter when the post date) remain unread in the forums, even if they have been read.

No. My only change file-wise is the functions.php from Google SEO.
