My host gives me 1000 max connections for mysql.

I run a real tiny forum with only 12 members and that's it.

Yet I keep getting these max connection errors. My host insists that 1000 is plenty for my forum and that I need to find settings within mybb to improve the connections and/or close queries or something.

So any insight?

Is that 1000 per user or global server connections?

And the largest mybb forum with 1000 users on at any time only uses about 10-20 connects at a time. So either you've installed a bad plugin or your host is lying.

Good point. I went back and read the email from the hosting company. I see they said 1000 for the server itself. Probably not 1000 dedicated to me

I will def look for another hosting company with a dedicated server argh.
