At my forum the Thread Prefix doesn't show when making a thread?

Are you sure you set it to be available in that forum and available to your usergroup to use...?? Is {$prefixselect} in your newthread/newreply/editpost templates before <input type="text" class="textbox" name="subject" size="40" maxlength="85" value="{$subject}" tabindex="1" /> ??
I see this in the editpost template:
<td class="trow2"><strong>{$lang->subject}</strong></td>
<td class="trow2">{$prefixselect}<input type="text" class="textbox" name="subject" size="40" maxlength="85" value="{$subject}" tabindex="1" /></td>
I did not change anything.
