usual noob issue here, im switching from phpbb3 to myBB, extracted files, created directory called forum and ftp'd contents of Upload folder into newly created forum directory, url should be http://domainname/web/forum

when i type http://domainname/web/forum/install I get page is not found.

1. I am hosting this on my own Synology disk station and trying to reach it via public Ip as well as private
2. I renamed config.default.php to config.php
3. confirmed all permissions are correct

any help will be greatly appreciated!

You should use the merge system to merge your phpbb forum into Mybb.

i was thinking about that but i figured a fresh install is always best, im going over everything again with a fine tooth comb before trying the merge, thanks!

Thanks for your help, when i noticed i couldnt get to the merged directory either i knew i wasnt seeing the folder, i removed /web from the url and BAM! there is it, time for a nice fresh install!
