Do you have a working URL for that guide?

BTW, interesting how the person who got hacked didn't complain that the URL to the guide was broken. Did they even bother to mouse over it?
Oops, my bad. I was probably in a hurry and pasted the URL incorrectly. This is the actual link:

http://mattrogowski.co.uk/?p=314
Quote:Required – ./inc/config.php – 666 (install) 444 (after installation)

I changed it to 444

But in the ACP Tools and Maintenance.

It complained that it was not writable. That it needed to be changed to 777

Maybe that should be mentioned. In case forum owners see it and panic.

That it is ok to see it that way.
Yeah I have plans to change the file CHMOD list thing in the ACP to make it clearer. Apparently it was 'intentional' to have it say it needed to be set to 777 even though the highest it ever needs to be is 666.
It's ok if I set 444, and remain thes?
Yeah, the only time it may need to be set to anything higher is when you upgrade, but if it needs to be 666 then, the upgrade will tell you. So yeah, it's fine to keep it set to 444.
Ok, I remain on 444.
