I see users registered at my forum but somehow some of them don't receive their pass? When I look at the system email log I see this:

MyBB was unable to send the email using the PHP mail() function.
Please try the following mail test script: [Wiki: Help:Mail] (Broken link, head over to docs.mybb.com instead)

If it doesn't work, then you will need to contact your host.
I dont understand.

"Please create a new .php file with this content: "

I did that, made a notepad file and called it mail.php, then uploaded to root. refreshed page and nothing happens?
Did you browse to yoursite.com/mail.php?
OH, now I did that. It works. What do I do now?

May i know what it said when you visit that link your-domain/mail.php?
Just wanted to confirm.
Mail was sent by PHP
I suggest setting up SMTP mail instead of PHP, it usually works better.
I'll try. Thx.
Would you please help me to solve this problem. I have the same problem.
"MyBB was unable to send the email using the PHP mail() function."

The test from http://wiki.mybb.com/index.php/Help:Mail works fine but no emails can be sent from forum (Notification, Password reset, ...).
I have updated to 1.6.4 but there is no difference.

I have installed my forum on a subdomain on my site. for example forum.domain.com. Can I send email with the name for ex [email protected] instead of [email protected]?

SMTP doesn't work either.
