If anyone sends me a locked iPhone 4 from US via courier, it is illegal? Dose any one know how much import duty I have to pay if they knew that It's a iPhone.

Not really, as long as the freq's work.

You'll have to pay duty usually. They Xray all packages on planes now, and will just hold the package until the duty is paid

Buy it from Canada; unlocked.

I would say follow Scoutie44's recommendation. But, why would you buy a locked iPhone from a different country? I can kind of understand unlocked if only locked are available where you live but not locked.
