I am playing with the portal

I have one fid feeding the portal with content (threads) but I would like to pin a thread to the top, currently if a new one is added the previous is moved down .. I stuck the thread but it made no difference nor can I find a sorting order in ACP is there a simple way to do this .. going off on a tangent is it possible to add the thread without the container so they no longer look like messages ?

No, you will need a plugin.

Either that or manually create a table with the links and text you want.
