I honestly had no idea this feature existed until I looked at the forums here ... apparently each thread with new posts has an arrow that takes you to the newest unread post.
I haven't seen anything like this on my boards. Is it an option in the admin CP?
Check if the image "jump.gif" is in your forum images folder. If it's not, upload the images from the install again and it should appear.

More importantly ... does it appear in the "Search for new posts" results list? If not, consider this a suggestion.
Well no there is no user cp option.

no it doesn't because over there u only see those you haven't read yet, so there is no need for it.
