I request that all plugin authors state where in the MyBB interface the controls will show up.

Eh? What do you mean by the controls - the settings?

Yeah I think that's what he means, though they usually show up in either Settings or the sidebar of Configuration, so I don't see the need for this

So far I have them in Settings, Configuration Sidebar, Tools and Maintenance, and Plugins.

I don't think there really is a need for it as you usually find the settings in (at max) a minute or two.
