All I need to know is how can I go about changing that blue border to a different color?

Bump! Still looking for an answer.
Just navigate to acp> themes and templates> your theme> global.css and edit in advanced mode.
Look for :
.tborder {
And change this value
border: 1px solid #your color;
Pick your color from
www.0to255.com
Also i see text and background color same.
So change this value too :
color: #your color;
I hope it will be solved
