I just finished building my new rig so I thought I would show it off

It has been going great so hopefully it will last a few years.

CPU: Intel i7 2600k
MOBO: Asrock z68 extreme 4
GPU: Sapphire ATI HD6970 2GB
RAM: 8G gSkill 1600mhz
HDD: 2 x Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB (in raid 1)
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 120GB
HSF: Coolermaster Hyper 212+
CASE: Coolermaster HAF
PSU: Silverstone strider 850w
WIFI: Generic Wireless N
ODD: Samsung DVD-RW
KEYBOARD: Das Model S mechanical
MOUSE: Logitech MX Revolution and VX Nano
MONITORS: 3 x Dell U2311H IPS 23"

I take it you game or do video editing or something to need all that power? I easily live with my average spec laptop and could never use all of that rig.

I don't game that much, but I got sick of living with a pretty average spec laptop for several years so I decided to treat myself :p

Nice one haha. Looks sweet anyway, pity a student budget doesn't allow for that kind of thing.

Thanks, I got them in Holland when I was there a couple of years ago, unfortunately they don't fit any more

That's quite an awesome set up. Though it sounds like overkill for trying to upgrade from an average PC.

Windows 7, I have run linux in the past when I had a less powerful computer but Windows seems to be running pretty quickly on my new rig (not surprisingly ).
