I saw there was a plugin for custom forum icons, but I have installed that and I have a small problem with it.


It doesn't work if the forum in question has sub forums. Anyone know a way to fix this?


Also when I try to install a theme to version 1.6.3.

I follow these steps:

1. Upload files to /images directory
2. Import Theme .xml file


I always this Notice:

MyBB could not find the theme with the file you uploaded. Please check the file is the correct and is not corrupt.

Anyone know how to fix that or what I'm doing wrong?

The Forum icons plugin do have a lot of bugs.

And regarding your problem with importing theme. Edit the XML and at the end, make sure it has </theme> at the end.

You will need to talk to the creator of the Forum Icons plugin, as it isn't related to MyBB.

With the theme issue, just making sure you are importing the .xml, and not the entire theme package. Also, make sure ./cache and ./cache/themes are CHMOD'ed to 777.

ya, I changed the settings on those 2 directories, but I still am getting that error.

The theme I'm trying to import is "Apart Night", and it has the </theme> at the end.

Any other clues?
