I want to make a theme for my forum but i dont no where to start like is there a template i can work off of.

The default MyBB template set of course.

Go into your images folder. You will see all of the default images that the standard Mybb theme uses. Try deleting one, then uploading your own creation of it. (Remember to call it the exact same name and give it the same extension.)

Example:
If you delete "logo.png" and then upload another image also called "logo.gif" it will not show up. A way to get around this is to just rename the file on your FTP. So if you wanted to use a gif for your logo, you would just rename it to "logo.png".

I recommend keeping the default files for future use and it's not like the OP is going to replace every thing MyBB image (Most likely).
