I have a contact us button at the top on my header, and this one at the bottom pulls up my email address. How can I delete it entirely?

go to Admin CP => themes and template => template => header => header.
remove the contact code.

I don't have "themes and template". I have Admin CP-->Templates and Style-->Templates-->Default Templates. And then you're saying to edit the header, even though this appears in the footer?

remember your first post, what is written there, so if it is in header = than you can edit it in header template=>header,
and in footer, its in every theme(99.99%) by default
footer templates=>footer.
