You did not have to open a new thread for this. As was already explained to you in the other thread, you just need to mass mail all your users so that they can individually reset their passwords by using the forgotten password link.

By running sql queries that you have no idea about, you are just digging yourself in to a deeper hole.
Also, have you considered what a security risk resetting everyone's password to the same value is? This means anyone would be able to login using anyone else's account and then you'll have bigger problems on your hand!
