I recently installed a fresh new MyBB 1.6.3 on a local nas to play around, encounter the following.

Maximum Images per Post - the setting within ACP doesn't work.

Quote:Maximum Images per Post
Enter the maximum number of images (including smilies) a user can put in their post. Set to 0 to disable this.

I set mine to 5, but still can add many many built-in smiles.

So, what does exactly images refer to?

Best Regards
Go to Admin CP > Configuration > Settings > Posting > Maximum Images per Post > Set to 0 to disable this.
@ OP, may be it has not worked due to cache OR you should check it as an ordinary member AND
please ignore above response .. @ pathan, OP had already used that setting to limit the images ..
I tried again, then figured out as the following.

If I login with admin, then I have no max. image restriction. I can use as many smiles and [code][image][code] as I want.

If I login as regular user, then the max. image is limited to the acp setting.

Thanx for the reply for newbie me.
Is it possible to separate the amount of smiles and image files attachments' count?

example:
allowed smiles per post : 10
allowed images per post : 15

Because people upload images or use image bbcodes to share photos. Site admin would like to keep the amount of images with a fix count.
