Earlier this morning one of my co-admins got hacked and we're just seeing if it's possible that MyBB got exploited.

All the hacker basically did was lock a few threads and ban a few people, which was quickly undone, but we just want to prevent it from happening again.

Anyway I can tell if it was done through an exploit?

There's no way we're going to be able to tell, the best thing to do would be to look at your server access logs. It could be something as simple as them knowing the password to the admin account.
