So I uploaded MyTabs to /inc/plugins first I made a directory called MyTabs and put the admin folder and the inc folder inside and it didn't work so, then I tried uploading both of them in /inc/plugins. It still doesn't work, any help?

mytabs plugin's directory consists of below subdirectories
admin , inc , jscripts

upload them to your forums installation directory - it already consists of these directories.
so you have to upload these like you are overwriting them. no harm will be done & it works
