Not Solved
My forum has been growing pretty fast, if things keep up the way they are going we might outgrow our current system.

So when the time comes I would like to be prepared. Which is more important for mybb: The CPU or Memory?

RAM. MySQL gets cached in RAM.

If you go for shared hosting then you wont get a better performance for big forums. As stated by Ben Cousins they does matter but not over shared hosting.

You should better be buying dedicated server or vps .

The OPĀ is asking about CPU and RAM. The assumption is therefore that, given what information is required, those are the solutions being looked at.
