If it's locked for new code, that means no new bug fixes or anything. If it were 'almost done', it'd be good enough for beta.

Technically it looks about ready for beta  . It looks like it's just fixing bugs (to me and only from a quick glance).

IMHO it's BS how MyBB run their releases. They should be able to implement features in all releases. Why wait 2 years for something as simple as this?
