Not Solved [Error Message] Forum Rules problem
#1
Not Solved
I am using v1.6 and everything works fine.

Today i tried something new; a forum rule using a link.

what i did: went to edit forum/forum rules/display method=display a link to the rules. then added a title to the 'title' section and a link in the 'rules' section. saved the changes.

when going to the affected forum, it shows the title properly, but when i click on it, it opens a new page and says "invalid forum".

i tried putting http://www.mybb.com, "www.mybb.com", and a few others but i always get the same error. note i didnt put in the "" marks, just needed those to remove the http:// formatting here to show what i did.

suggestions?

thanks,

mark

i used several different ones, but most were of these two variations (with and without the http://)
different urls, etc. but all returned the same error.

Not sure what you're trying to achieve.

Using the Display a link to the rules this forum option just means it will display a link above the threadlist instead of the actual rules.

Can you provide a URL to the forum you've applied this to so I can see what the result is?

i am trying to do exactly that, but i now have another piece of info.

the forum i was trying to use this on was a private forum that only certain members could access. but i am on that list.
when i went to make a demo to show you, i did it in a public forum, and it worked properly! didnt think about that being an issue before i posted.

so in a public forum, it works correctly, but when the forum isnt public, it gives me "invalid forum" using the exact same settings. and the link i used for all the tests was www.mybb.com so that isnt it.

bug?
