I'm having an error i explained here. http://community.mybb.com/thread-98609.html
Baically, when I edit my settings.php file after switching hosts and domains, my forum automatically changes it back so there's nothing I can do.
So would this work:
-erase everything on my host
-upload a CLEAN mybb and install it
-after installed, go into MySQL and erase every file
-upload my MySQL file
-replace every file in FTP except for inc/config.php and inc/settings.php

Then, would my forum be back to normal?

So this is what i have to do:
Delete settings.php
Remove every file in MySQL
Upload my MySQL file from the other website
Then go to my website and it SHOULD work?

No

Delete your settings.php.
Go to phpMyAdmin and change the URL, cookies, etc
Visit you site
Your site will have a corrected settings.php
