If I remember correctly, there were problems that cropped up around 1.6.14 or so . . . so the answer would be no.

Puppet Master 1.1 Released
Minor point version release.
Fixes:
- loss of functionality since 1.6.15
- bug where posts were unapproved incorrectly
- bug where currently selected puppet wasn't saved when previewing
Adds:
- autocompletion for usernames in ACP
