Have you tried replying anyway? It's supposed to stay on the same page, but the comment will be sent to the other users'.

That is suppose to be a core feature of this plugin already.

Ajax can be used when sending comments, but there isn't a core feature of refreshing the comments via Ajax.

1st sorry to bump this up.
2nd i have 3 questions(actually a suggestion and a question)
a) is there a chance to have this combined with profile tabs plugin? http://mods.mybb.com/view/profiletabs

that would definitely make a vB indetical customization option.

b) How can i place the coments field elsewhere than bottom right.
Lets say i need it to be the first field after the Profiles general info(the one including the avatar)
And how can i expland the comment box width?
