What spam plugins work for you ? - Tapan - 2012-04-11

Hi,

Just out of curosity sake I wanted to know what anti-spam plugins you have installed on your mybb to stop spam ?

I am using:

1. Manual Admin Activation (Which I personally don't like)
2. Goodbye Spammer
3. reCaptcha (The inbuilt MyBB thing)
4. Registration Security Question Plugin.

These have drastically reduced the spam bot registrations for me. But I wanted to avoid Admin activation so I am curious what you have on your mybb to stop spam bots etc. ?

I'm using: Registration Security Question. However I personally like Spamalyser.

You could try the stop forum spam plugin.

Registration Security Question I feel is one of the best as long as you delete the default questions and write your own questions.

I use DoB On Reg and Registration Security Question. It works a treat, since introducing them both I've not had a single spammer.

SFS, Spamalyser, Goodbye Spammer, RegSecureQs.

No spam - and I don't use recap because it is more and more annoying. Even I am refreshing them frequently now, and I used to be excellent about 2 months ago.
