Need a blog for my forum - xStefan - 2012-06-03

What blog could i use for mybb forum so like a homepage to create news and put it up there

Well MyBB does have a portal page which you could use if its just some site news you would like to post. See this tutorial for that: http://community.mybb.com/thread-43811.html

Alternatively you could try pro-portal: http://community.mybb.com/thread-63463.html

If you still want a separate blog, I would recommend Wordpress, although there isn't really any user integration between it and MyBB.

You can edit the design through CSS and the portal templates to make it look more like a blog.

It's a plugin that allows you to change the look of threads/forums etc. Example: http://mybbhacks.zingaburga.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=24

You'd have to design the forum as a blog in a similar way to the portal so you're probably better off just redesigning the portal.

Just tryed using proportal full of bugs and stuff and has no support so screw that...

where am i looking for the xthreads thing

You can do a nice looking blog type portal with stock myBB portal and a couple of small edits. You need to edit templates and layout and then you can get a good effect.

I have a lot of XThreads on my board but the portal is pretty much core with edits in portal.php and a plugin.
