customize the index page - coolcurrent - 2013-04-04

I need to modify the index page of myBB forum, so that the category and boards are arranged from
category1
  Board1
  Board2

category2
  Board1
  Board2
to
category1: Board1, Board2
category2: Board1, Board2
etc

how can this be achieved
