Hi, I just finish installation of MYBB 1.8 latest version. when i enter to "Home » Board Settings » Server and Optimization Options" then make "Enable search engine friendly URLs?" enable,  and enable "Enable search engine friendly URLs in Archive?", but when i open the forum, it showed "The page you requested is NOT AVAILABLE A general error has occurred", some pages showed "www.xxx.com/xxx.html", some pages showed "xxx.com/xxx.php"

whats happened?

You need to add this in your .htaccess file in root folder

Or simply rename the file htaccess.txt to .htaccess
