Is there a way/method for a user to apply a "Closed" thread prefix to their thread - and have it move that thread to a new forum that has no edit/write permissions?

Actually no, because moving a thread is a moderator tool.
Peharps I can modify ABP Solve it! to add the move option.

I see. I saw that Jonessoft had made a MyBot plugin that could perform this action based on a prefix - but it seems out of date and not supported.
I wanted my users to be able to post a thread and apply a "close" prefix - when that was done the thread would be moved into an "Archive" forum that is read-only.
