RE: Not safe - Crazycat - 2019-12-10

I think Mastersly has a good idea. It's better to potentialy have errors with the transition to https when there are 200 users than when there is just a few ones.

....

Who said I'm ironic ?

Most hosters offer free certificate (let's encrypt or other), or you can use Cloudflare to have a free one.
Just ask him to know.

Depending on your hoster, you can't easily install it and need an action from the hoster. This is why I said that it's often free Smile

A lot of hosts allow you to upload your own certificate.
You can generate one with Let's Encrypt and upload it there - assuming that your host allows you to, of course.

RE: Not safe - Ben - 2019-12-10

Your other option is to sign up for CloudFlare, which should let you achieve the same result.

And if they don’t, or don’t allow you to generate a free one, they’re a terrible host and you absolutely should move.
