Featured Thread Plugin - _B_ - 2020-06-08
I am not sure if this exists already (I've checked for a while and couldn't really find it), but the title really says it all.
Basically, what this plugin would follow the same concept as "Recent Threads" (thread displayed on the sidebar of the threads that have had recent activity) but those with permission (Admins or whoever) can select the threads that appear in the Featured Threads sidebar.

The Advanced Sideboxes plugin has a "New Threads" sidebox module that allows you to set specific threads.
