Login Problem - 420greg - 2005-05-12
I can log in to the admin backend no problem.
When I click 'new thread' it asks me to login. I login, its says it is succesfull, I click on 'new thread', and it takes me back to the log-in screen.
It is only showing a guest on the board.
My cookie settings are correct I believe:
.occompt.com
http://www.occompt.com/advantageforum/
I did a search and read all the login problem threads. I have tried everything. We even have a seperate .us domain, I tried it also:
.comptroller.co.orange.fl.us
http://www.comptroller.co.orange.fl.us/advantageforum/
Still no dice.

The attached screenshot shows I am logged in, but at the same time I am being asked to log in....

I changed
http://www.occompt.com/advantageforum/
in my cookie settings to /advantageforum/
and now it is working.

I had the same problem about 3 weeks ago. I think it depends on the server. On one server/host settings worked and another they didn't. I'm happy my main sites host isn't so strict on the cookie settings.

You got cookie domain correct (.occompt.com) but you forgot cookie path (/advantageforum/). Both of those added should work.
