There are a few bugs with the updating of the forum stats using split, merge, and move, although I haven't been able to pinpoint where exactly the bugs are.
There is also a bug when you inline-split posts to a non-existant forum.

Just to add to this, when you unapprove a post it doesn't affect the post count for the thread when I think it should decrement it.
Also, if you unapprove a post which was the last post in a particular forum/thread it will still appear as the last post (on the index) eventhough it is no longer accessible.
