No, you can't, as Freewebs doesn't give MySQL access.

If you have a remote SQL server which accepts connections from external ip's then yes you could run it through freewebs if it supported PHP. However if you have a remote SQL server it is likely you have a HTTP server as well in which case, why bother using freewebs.

Freewebs has their own forum system if you really want to use their service.

I don't believe they run PHP either.

OK, I just move to a new host.

000webhost.com

I cannot figure out how to run the forum process. Anyone able to help me there? If needed I can get you admin access to help set up the system.

What do you mean by the 'forum process'?? Do you mean the install script?? Have you uploaded all the files, and made a database??

Yes the install script. I have the files uploaded, can you help me create a database?

I can't remember off-hand how it works on 000webhost but you should see an option for MySQL or databases, click that, and make a database, just need to give it a name. Then you can run the installer.

RE: Installation Help! 000webhost - Charizard88 - 2009-07-30

I found that option and created a database. But everytime I go to the sites url and type /install on the end of the url it fails. I am either doing something wrong or I am stupid to not figure out the correct url. I need help.
