i want to restrict a forum in a catagory on my boards to people who have more than 5 posts... and for people under 5 posts to still be able to see it but when they click into it they get a message saying "blah blah blah more posts"
cos all i have now is not allowing guests to view a certain forum but they cant see it... i want it to be visible to everybody but guests and people under 5 posts cant click into it...
help please

ya i saw that but im looking for something that wont make the forum invisible to those who dont have enough posts or permissions... thats the main thing im trying to avoid... because i want guests/members who dont quality to be able to see it still... just not gain access

What so you want to show threads in the forum display list. And not let them view the actual threads until they have 5 posts.
You could use group promotions and make a group that they are added to when they have more than or equal to 5 posts.

It's probably just a matter of changing the hook for that plugin to use showthread_start instead.
