Extending the template system - Rubber Ducky - 2004-06-15

Are there any plans to include scripting aspect to the templates? I'm talking about the conditinal's vBulletin 3.0 (and ipb 2.0 I belive) have.

I know many consider them bloat but after working with the concept for some time i've grown to love it, it makes the process of getting a customized board up go alot faster.

The conditional's system can be a good addition, but not for people who are new to message boards.

I think in a really later version they should be included, if they will be at all.

Say... 1.03 or something?

I doubt they will copy that from vBulletin.

Template conditionals are something that have been on my mind, however i am looking for a way to implement them so that they are quick and non-server intense and so that people new to discussion systems can not easily be confused by them and their functionality.
