forum counters - andrewjs18 - 2010-06-26 is there a task to rebuild the forum counters? I keep running into an issue with a large thread that has like 131 pages on my forum. sometimes the forum counters aren't updated and it'll actually list the thread as having 132 pages when it really only has 131 and if you click 'last' it'll just send you to the 1st page. RE: forum counters - JonathanP - 2010-06-26 Run the recount & rebuild, that should fix it. RE: forum counters - Bob Jansen - 2010-06-26 You can create a task to run the task every x minutes or hours. RE: forum counters - andrewjs18 - 2010-06-26 I do have 1 set up. correct me if I'm wrong, but the thread views task should rebuild the forum counters so my issue doesn't occur, correct? how much load does it generally put on a forum? I've got it set for: every 15min every hour every day of the month every day during the week every month I don't think it's working properly. how can I test this? I don't think it will put a lot of stress on the server, probably minimal. I have a thread on my forum that has 133 pages. if you click 'last' it says it has 134 pages and ends up taking you back to the 1st page. I first saw this issue at 4:11pm today and it's not 5:25pm and it wasn't fixed. |
