This tutorial is supposed to add icon infront of Forums/Subforums.
Yes..... I know but the question is...... how to get also a icon for the category forum... Look the picture in the post here: http://community.mybb.com/thread-92128-post-840003.html#pid840003 , if I set now a forum as category there is no picture and everyting is out of sync (last post info, topic count info etc)
So I want to set also a icon for the category forums so you have the same as the "normal" forums and subforums (see also picture here: http://community.mybb.com/thread-92128-post-840016.html#pid840016) How to fix this, see the picture for whats the problem...

I have found it by myself...............
Open the template: forumbit_depth2_cat
Search:
<tr>
<td class="{$bgcolor}" align="center" valign="top" width="1"><img src="{$theme['imgdir']}/{$lightbulb['folder']}.gif" alt="{$lightbulb['altonoff']}" title="{$lightbulb['altonoff']}" class="ajax_mark_read" id="mark_read_{$forum['fid']}" /></td>
And add after:
<td class="{$bgcolor}" align="center" valign="top" width="1"><img src="images/ficons/{$forum['fid']}.png" alt="" title="" class="" id="" /></td>
And the forums that set as category have also the icon, see image:

But you can't set Category into Category
I just tried to set a forum as category on my localhost and it gives me this error;

The question remains, how you set a forum as category? (if it has threads etc.)

Yes you can!!
And I have no forum set as category with post in it because this is not possible.
I explain what I have don follow thing with the category.
I made a forum and set it as category called WIKI
Then I have made a forum called "GalaxyFreaks Wiki" and set this one also as category forum and set "wiki" as motherforum.
Then I have made again
a forum but now set it as a forum and made the motherforum "galaxyFreaks Wiki".So now I have 2 category's before the forum is there where you can post in it.
So this have I don because in the Wiki section I work on letters (a, b, c, d etc etc)
You can also take a look here: www.galaxyfreaks.nl/index.php and see what I mean (its the GalaxyFreaks Wiki section)
I hope that you know now what I mean with forum category's and the sollution to get a icon for the category's is also posted in my previous post.......

It should be easily editable in MyBB 1.6.8 as well.
