Ray, 2.0 isn't coming for at least two more years. If the current MyBB product doesn't suit your needs, you'd be well advised to look elsewhere.

We constantly observe the market of PHP frameworks. If our prefered framework isn't available when we need it, we'll use an alternative.

I prefer using raw PHP Dont like using pre-made frameworks.

Didnt know it takes that long to develop a software. It takes just a few days to create the login fully for me.

RE: List of Confirmed Features - Alex Smith - 2013-02-12

There is a whole lot more to mybb than a login though. If anything that's a tiny portion of the software.

RE: List of Confirmed Features - Euan T - 2013-02-12

I could do a login in less than an hour. That's a tiny fraction of the core though. We have to plan the overall architecture (including the database structure - something that can take a while in itself to reach a decent level of normalization without compromising usability), build the core, test it across multiple environments then fix the likely many bugs found by both the SQA team and users.

Few days to make a login system? really?

Agree. It's a one-session thing for me too.

that's probably the worst choice. It's gonna suck when it comes to being organized. Don't want to confuse people.

It's gonna be interesting to see what kind of framework you guys choose.

I love Symfony right now.

Quote:A new theme
-Will include css based buttons
An API will be available to make integration easier.

I'm so excited for both of these features. Will make it much easier for me to make everything to the way I want it, less things to mess with, but more things are affected!

New css based theme coming on 1.8 also. Smile

Oh, really? That's great then. My 1.6 is already mainly CSS based, but having 1.8 being automatically CSS based is a great addition. I heard that 1.8 was only a theme change, from a Developer I think, don't remember what thread.
