An API will be available to make integration easier.

I'm so excited for both of these features. Will make it much easier for me to make everything to the way I want it, less things to mess with, but more things are affected!

New css based theme coming on 1.8 also. Smile

Oh, really? That's great then. My 1.6 is already mainly CSS based, but having 1.8 being automatically CSS based is a great addition. I heard that 1.8 was only a theme change, from a Developer I think, don't remember what thread.

There will be few new featrues as well along with theme changes, theme buttons are css based.

Well that's good to hear. Can't wait for it to become production ready so I can get on it!

An API for better integration sounds really interesting. Would love to see what others come up with for that.

Think I have a few ideas myself depending on what the API allows Smile.

You should read up on the blog posts, we've posted part of the 1.8 tour already. It's also on Github for those wanting to test it out locally.

Oh I know it's available for download, I just want it to be completely ready for use before I touch it. I'm not too savvy with PHP anymore, so I don't want to mess with something that I might end up giving me headaches because I'm too ignorant to solve the problems myself Toungue. Though I might download it and see how it looks Smile.

You can touch it and run it in localhost just fine. It's not totally broken, though some things (warnings, I believe at the moment) are out-of-order.

Oh yes, I do know that. I'm just speaking of live use. I might fix up the code with my knowledge, and my friend that I work with who also does PHP work, and make it nice. I'm currently looking through everything seeing if anything is vulnerable, testing out things, etc.

RE: List of Confirmed Features - Josh H. - 2013-02-27

Well yeah. It is definitely not fit for live use, but it just be secure, because, IIRC, it has Nathan Malcolm's Seal of Approval.

It's a prestigious award for a piece of software to win. Toungue

RE: List of Confirmed Features - kartic - 2013-04-02

please add some WYSIWYG editor features in quick reply..
this is useful like Hyperlink, Italic, Bold and some more. also if you can add all features it would be great.

If you're doing all that is it really a "quick" reply then? Not saying it's bad though honestly. With taking advantage of more javascript it can done pretty well and just leave the full post submission page for things like attachments and polls. The less page loads the better.

The requirement of a completely new page for posting a reply to a thread is a legacy leftover. Inline replying should be standard.
