MyBB 1.6 Beta 2 (Version code 1502) has been released to the general public.

Over 83 bugs, fixes, and tweaks were reported and changed for MyBB 1.6 Beta 2. Many thanks to all of you who have participated in this process this far and have contributed to make MyBB one of the best forum software applications on the internet.

Important changes:

• MyBB 1.6 is now licensed under the GNU LGPL. Learn more about the GNU LGPL at http://gnu.org/
  
• The version code has been incremented from 1501 to 1502. This is intentional. Any plugins or themes will need to be updated before you report problems, so the authenticity of your reports will not be questioned. You should not be running plugins or themes on any MyBB 1.6 beta with the exception of strictly testing purposes.
  
• It would be great if we could get the MyBB 1.6 upgrade process tested thoroughly. Please make sure you don't test it on live production forums!
  

Any MyBB 1.6 Beta is not recommended to be run in a live production environment. As always, you take your own risk by setting up these versions of MyBB in an uncontrolled environment.
