Even though instructions in the Wiki guide say to delete files when upgrading?

You can delete the files if you really want to, but I generally just overwrite them. That way all my installed plugins are not overwritten, and they work again when you reinstall the database.

How are your plugins not deleted if you overwrite rather than delete?

The only files that get overwritten are the ones that exist both on the server and in the "upload" folder on your pc. Since the plugins only exist on the server (the upload folder only comes with the "Hello World" plugin) they do not get overwritten.

Oh! Does anyone from the staff (Chris or somebody?) have any idea about the possibility of incorporating my idea into a future release?
