Cookie problem - not working as should

So, i have done this before, and even your tutorials, and official documentation say to change cookie path to "/" when forum is installed in "/forum/" directory if using external script

It doesn't say to do that, and what do you mean by an external script?

And yes on numerous tutorials and posts by admins saying to change it to "/" and it should work fine, one i found about 5 minutes before making this thread.
