The cookie prefix is only important if you run multiple MyBB forums in the same webspace or have conflicts with other software.
Make sure that ./inc/settings.php is set to CHMOD 666.
Change your cookie domain to: forums.hdforall.org or .hdforall.org
Delete all browser cookies, log in ACP and test again.
Change the settings in ACP too.
