Adding user avatars to forums?

Hi,

I was hoping to have user avatars show up as the last column in my forums main index? As you can see this is how it is now: http://i.imgur.com/RCot1.png and this is how I'd like it to be after: http://i.imgur.com/bGGIK.jpg (I have shoddy photoshop skills sorry). Currently I use a hack to show users avatars for each thread which can be seen here. So I'm only really hoping to do something similar on the forum Index if that makes sense at all.

That was what I was thinking myself. The hack I use is mentioned here http://yaldaram.com/showthread.php?tid=318

Naturally I don't know how I would incorporate that in what I have on my forum now

EDIT: Upon second look, this appears to be a plugin already, would anyone know if it is possible to edit it for what I'm after?
